why do you think McCain was defending Obama this week against a Rev Wright attack ad in North Carolina payed for by his own party?
he knows that if the Repubs attack Obama, Obama will have to choice but to retaliate
wait till America sees the skeletons that come out of McCains closet!!
he has built his career of taking obscene amounts of money and gifts from defense contractors
he just got a another huge campaigh donation from the contractors that just got awarded the new Air Force Tanker-Planes deal
he was willing to send the planes and jobs overseas (to France no less) just so he could line his political warchest
he’s as dirty as they come
definitely NOT the patriot he makes himself out to be

In the latest political ad by McCain he attacks Obama for not making time for the troops cause he couldn’t bring cameras even though he had visited the Walter hospital before without cameras. But in the ad it is stated that instead of visiting the troops Obama went to the gym, which showed him throwing a basketball. But the video was taking when Obama was visiting the vets.
How do you feel about McCain using this ad and using that video and that way to bring his supposed message?

What happened: A new 30-second TV ad attacks Barack Obama’s record on education, saying that Obama backed legislation to teach “‘comprehensive sex education’ to kindergartners.” The announcer then says, “Learning about sex before learning to read? Barack Obama. Wrong on education. Wrong for your family.”
Why that’s wrong: This is a deliberately misleading accusation. It came hours after the Obama campaign released a TV ad critical of McCain’s votes on public education. As a state senator in Illinois, Obama did vote for but was not a sponsor of legislation dealing with sex ed for grades K-12.
But the legislation allowed local school boards to teach “age-appropriate” sex education, not comprehensive lessons to kindergartners, and it gave schools the ability to warn young children about inappropriate touching and sexual predators.
Republican Alan Keyes tried to use Obama’s vote against him in the 2004 U.S. Senate race. At the time, Obama spoke about wanting to protect young children from abuse. He made clear then that he was not supporting teaching kindergartners about explicit details of sex.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said Tuesday of McCain’s ad: “It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls.”http://www.mcclatchydc.com/staff/margare…

Here is a quote from John McCain.
“It’s time we did away with a lot of this political rhetoric at the level we’re at, including these negative ads. Nobody likes these negative ads. You want to know what we’re for, now who we’re against.”
Obama continues to call McCain honorable even though McCain continues to be a hypocrite and go the low road. Would you like to see McCain focus more on the issues as opposed to negatively attacking Obama? McCain’s hypocrisy on this matter is an example that he does not keep his word. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/…

Republican John McCain ratcheted up his attacks on Barack Obama Friday, debuting a new web ad mocking the Democrat as a quasi-divine figure who had anointed himself to rule the world.
…The ad features moments from Obama’s soaring speeches, taken out of context.

Are there any articles from credible sources on the impact the nastiness is having? I’m not interested in extremist sources from either end of the political spectrum.

In his brand new technology policy statement, Senator John McCain lists as one of his top priorities “effectively protecting American intellectual property in the United States and around the globe.”
Yet for at least the third time, McCain’s presidential campaign has been accused of using others’ intellectual property without permission in a political attack ad that appeared online.
Yesterday, hours after McCain issued his technology platform, classic rocker Jackson Browne sued the candidate and the Republican National Committee in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles for using his hit “Running On Empty” in an attack ad slamming opponent Barack Obama. Browne is seeking a permanent injunction barring McCain from using any more of the singer’s material, as well as damages.
…”They used a John Mellencamp song until he made them stop and he used an ABBA song and a Frankie Valli song — it’s ridiculous and it’s setting a terrible example,” Iser told the L.A. Times. “It’s shocking that they don’t even attempt to get permission. There’s no copyright difference between using a song to sell cars or by people running for president.”
“The music industry continues to suffer due to lack of respect for intellectual property rights, and a candidate for president has a duty to lead by example and ensuring their campaign does as well,” Iser added.
Last month, Warner Music Group demanded that the YouTube remove another McCain video, “Obama Love,” which was set to Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” And earlier this week, comedian Mike Myers accused McCain of copyright infringement for using the iconic Wayne’s World line “We’re Not Worthy!” in yet another ad attacking Obama.http://biz.yahoo.com/portfolio/080815/ta…
