The people complaining would probably refer to it as ‘righteous’ outrage that’s deserved since oh my – look where this candidate will take us. But I’m also dead sick of negative political ads. I was a bit surprised by his ad – not that he made it since he’s a Baptist minister. But that it’s actually getting network air time since most of our networks are so liberally biased I would expect them to trash the ad & not run it.
Personally – I liked the ad & wish that he’d run more like it. The other candidates need to take a hint from him as well.

You talk about the 12%, maybe, but I would say that is probably a whole lot less. But, as usual, minorities on any issue are the ones that complaint the most and scream the most, and sadly, many are silly enough to fall for such childish behaviour. There’s nothing wrong about saying “Merry Christmas” because this is Christmas season; the same it’s not wrong to say “Happy Hanukkah” when is Hanukkah season; or to say “Eid Mubarak” for Ramadam. Each one to it’s own celebration. We all have the same rights to celebrate our traditions in our way. Political correctness is a complete stupid doctrine that only cater to those with a serious inferiority complex.

To answer your question honestly and truthfully, Huckabee’s ad was geared solely and specifically to a target audience of people who DO celebrate Christmas and are relatively religious people. So, the ad campaign worked.
In contrast, where was his ad wishing me and thousands of other American Jews “Happy Chanukkah”?
I have never been offended by the phrase “Merry Christmas” when people say it to me-especially my young students. I usually reply back with a “Happy Holidays and New Year to you & your family”.
But this particular ad did alienate me. Bottom line-he won’t be getting my vote. Should he become our next president, I don’t feel he is humble enough to educate himself and learn about the religious holidays celebrated by ALL Americans.
Again, this is just my opinion.

Whats the difference between “Happy Christmas” “Merry Christmas”or “Happy holidays” although the last one is a bit odd. Good health and a safe Christmas seems ok to me.I am just a Brit so not sure just what these 12% guys really want.. Happy Christmas to you all. That includes all Americans, Brits, Europeans, Asians, Africans and all religious groups everwhere. I wonder if I have upset anyone now ?
